At The First Congregational Church of Brimfield we try to open our doors wide, both to welcome any and all to come inside (see our open and affirming statement here) and to make room for those inside to go out into the community where our faith is embodied.
Since before there was a Brimfield (1731), there was a First Congregational Church (1721). There is a long history of the church at the geographic center of the town also providing a spiritual and emotional center. From being the Meeting House in the early days to becoming the Relief Center following the June 1, 2011 tornado, this small but mighty church has stood at the heart of the community proving through its practice that God provides community, comfort, strength and hope.
We worship every Sunday at 10:30 AM preceded by a free breakfast at 9:30 that all are welcome to share and followed by fellowship including fairly traded coffee after worship at approximately 11:30. While every Christian tradition has its own style of worship, it is fair to say that ours is traditional (understanding that that will have a variety of meanings) but we also step outside the box on occasion. The best way to see if it is for you is to join us some week and see. Feel free to ask questions…we do.
No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey,
you are welcome here.
